Who We Are
Our system of educating our community needs the support of all the faithful, every generation. From our classrooms to workshops, presentations to programs, the St. Michael Education Foundation exists to promote and financially support the education missions associated with St. Michael Parish, including St. Michael Catholic School. Since 1992, the Education Foundation has been helping families provide their children with a rewarding catholic education. This education would have otherwise not been possible for these children, except for the assistance from the Education Foundation.
Our History
On the feast day of St. Michael in 1874, our first church was blessed and a parish was formed on land donated by Schererville founder, Nicholas Sherer. From the first generous donation, our parish families have been blessed with the opportunity to continuously grow and become stronger through the generosity of parishioners. Today, our parish continues to be blessed with a faithful community that is dedicated to sharing their time, treasure, and talent for the benefit of St. Michael Parish and St. Michael Catholic School.
How We Help

The Education Foundation is empowered to accept donations of all forms, including: cash, installments, stocks, bequests, and other forms of planned gifts as components of a long-term investment strategy in support of St. Michael Parish/St. Michael Catholic School and our educational ministries.
