See the links below for our daily prayers March 27th:
PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ THIS IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT. ALL MASS AND PUBLIC WORSHIP IS CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE (this includes Eucharistic Adoration and Stations of the Cross). Confessions will still occur; however, you should stay home if you are feeling unwell. Father Marty will be personally observing the daily Mass schedule, and while no one else can join him in person, we can use that time to join together in prayer and forge a spiritual connection.
We will be recording or live-streaming a mass service to be viewed at the 9:30AM on Sunday.
Also, now is a great time to sign up for our text-alert system. Text MIKE to 84576 to get up to the minute updates about the latest developments

In light of the recent concerns regarding COVID-19, we have made the decision to limit weekend masses to 5pm on Saturday, and Sunday at 9:30am and 11:30am. Our Mass schedule will remain otherwise unaltered. Most Reverend Robert J. McClory has dispensed the Catholic faithful from their obligation to attend Sunday Mass effective March 14-15, March 21-22 and March 28-29. The dispensation does not remove the obligation to keep the Lord’s Day holy, which requires that we seek to refrain from work, increase our love of the Lord and extend charity to others through prayer and service. All other gatherings will be canceled as of 3/14, though we will continue to have Stations of the Cross and confessions per our normal schedule.
Additionally, the Diocese of Gary has implemented other measures to ensure the safety of those who attend services:
1. If you have a potential illness, or who are vulnerable to infection due to age or other factors, you should refrain from attending Mass.
2. For the well-being of all, we ask parishioners to avoid physical contact (during the sign of peace, turn to your neighbor and with a nod of your head offer the sign of peace with words only).
3. We are temporarily suspending the offering of the Precious Blood.
Your support during this trying time is greatly appreciated. We would like to voice our immense gratitude to those of you who are signed up for electronic funds transfer. If you aren’t enrolled and would like to be, then please contact Jesica, our Accounting Services Manager, at 219-322-4505 ext. 8226. Your contributions allow our parish to continue to flourish and provide valuable spiritual and community services during this period of turmoil.
Saint Michael Parish will have a system in place to live stream Mass by next Sunday, the 22nd, to allow those who remain home to join us virtually. Anyone unable to attend Holy Mass may find an opportunity to watch Mass on television or online (including stations such as EWTN or locally, on WGN at 9:30 a.m. on Sundays) or set aside the same time for prayer and reflection. Daily readings are available on USCCB.org or through the NWI Catholic newspaper (or nwicatholic.com).
Your health and well-being is of paramount importance to us, we will continue to take every possible precaution to keep our parishioners safe. We are being very vigilant with our sanitation and disinfection protocol during this time. These measures are meant to be preventative, it is our hope that we may avoid unnecessary suffering by being proactive.
Updates pertaining to this ongoing situation will be provided periodically via our website and social media accounts, so be sure to check back frequently. We recommend that everyone read THIS press release from the Diocese of Gary for additional information.
Peace and Blessings,
Saint Michael Parish
