Alpine Europe Pilgrimage – Featuring the Passion Play of Oberammergau

Parishioners,

We’d like to inform you of a rare opportunity to witness a world renowned passion play that is part of a centuries old tradition while visiting an area of Europe with rich historical and cultural significance.  Tickets are extremely limited, first come – first serve.

“The play’s presentation can be traced to 1633 when the Black Plague swept Europe.  The people of Oberammergau took a solemn oath:  if God spared them, they would present a day-long play depicting the last week in the life of Christ.  To this day they have kept their promise and every ten years the citizens of Oberammergau perform their passion play with the same love and devotion they have shown for over 380 years.  Today the play takes place on an open-air stage with a covered auditorium seating 4,700 against a beautiful backdrop of towering Alpine Mountains.”

Radiate would like to invite you to join us on a pilgrimage to our nation’s capital as we march for the Sanctity of Life with our Catholic Family from St. Michael’s, along with other like-minded individuals from all over the world.  As Catholics, the right to life is crucial to our beliefs, so everyone is encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to join together with others as we march to express our support for this vital cause.

This will be a peaceful, spiritually uplifting, and potentially life-altering experience.

Latest Construction News (Updated 11/5/2018)

Parishioners,

Here’s a quick construction update of some changes that have occurred, or will be occurring in the near future:

  • Fr. Marty has selected our new church paint colors, a base coat along with some accents will be applied as the repairs to the west wall are finalized. Overall, the entire church color will change and select surfaces will be accented for aesthetic purposes.
  • The primary work site and plastic barrier are going to be shifted to the east wall of the church; the west side benches will be replaced and some on the east removed.
  • The organ trumpets have been carefully removed and packaged for temporary storage to protect them from worker activity. These components, along with the pipe ranks and chimes, will be cleaned and tuned after the interior work is completed. Thank you for your continued patience!

Take a look at our painting plans here.  Keep in mind that alterations may occur as painting takes place, but for the most part these should be an accurate reflection of the work that will be done.
